Corporal John Detick

D-Day Medic Vet Patch Grouping.
From Bellefontaine, Ohio. Traqined as a medical aidman. Mr Detrick ended up serving with an Assault Engineer Battalion as evidenced by the “Seahorse” patch worn on the pocket of his jacket.


The Grouping includes his medals (EAME Campaign with 4 bronze campaign starts and 1 bronze arrowhead for the invasion: Army Good Conduct Medal, American Campaign Medal, American Defense Medal and WW2 Victory Medal), Four Overseas Bars indicating at least 2 years in theatre, one Haskmark for at least 3 years in the army, T-5 Corporal’s Chevrons, Meritorius UNit Commendation Patch, 2 Photos of Detrick in uniform and best of all a rare Amphibious Assult Engineer’s “Seahorse” Patch.
