I’ve just had the good fortune to be invited to have a look at Dave’s collection of Allied militaria from WW2. Not knowing quite what to expect, I think it is fair to say I was pretty gobsmacked at the extent, quality and variety of the bits he has picked up. It is an overused expression, but it is like an Aladdin’s Cave of treasures. Simply too many “highlights” to mention but if you like Airborne – go no further! The Attention to detail and sympathy with which the items have been curated clearly shows the great respect that is the bedrock of a museum quality collection.
